“I just published my first note on Substack Notes, and would love for you to join me there!” That’s the suggested opening from Substack to introduce you to their new Notes feature. The Substack template for introducing Notes cleverly pulled in my Note below, which is allegedly my first Note, except it is not.
This was my first Note (which is, at the time of this writing, 400% more popular):
Notes is a new space on Substack for us to share links, short posts, quotes, photos, and more. I plan to use it for things that don’t fit in the newsletter, like work-in-progress or quick questions.
How to join
Head to substack.com/notes or find the “Notes” tab in the Substack app. As a subscriber to Arming for the War We're In, you’ll automatically see my notes. Feel free to like, reply, or share them around!
You can also share notes of your own. I hope this becomes a space where every reader of Arming for the War We're In can share thoughts, ideas, and interesting quotes from the things we're reading on Substack and beyond.
If you encounter any issues, you can always refer to the Notes FAQ for assistance. Looking forward to seeing you there!
Many readers may not have a clue about the Lotus Notes reference in the subtitle. While I never really liked Lotus Notes, it was powerful, and it was the first thing I thought of when seeing the Notes label. Some memories are hard to suppress.
